About Jack
True to Austin’s eclectic spirit, Jack draws from a large variety of legal experience in providing a holistic approach to representing start-ups, small to medium sized businesses and landlords.
Jack has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1997. He began his career at the Texas Attorney General’s Office where he received a solid foundation in litigation and regulatory compliance. Subsequently, Jack practiced in private law firms representing clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of litigation involving employment, contract, collection and tort law. After that Jack worked in-house for one of Texas’ largest landlords in the highly regulated housing industry. There, Jack gained substantial experience in corporate, contract, regulatory, employment, and landlord/tenant law, as well as handling business disputes and litigation. Most recently, Jack worked for a top tier law firm as Outside General Counsel to some of Austin’s most popular corporations, medical providers, government entities, landlords and banks. There, he similarly handled the gamut of daily business legal issues, involving corporate, regulatory, contract, employment, collection and landlord/tenant law, as well as business disputes and litigation. Armed with a wealth of business legal experience, Jack subsequently stepped out on his own, just like many of his clients, and formed JQNLaw PLLC. Jack is admitted to practice law in Texas State Courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Western, Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Jack’s philosophy is that, while past experience is important, the true measure of success is the work that you do for your clients today.
When he’s not providing meticulous representation to his clients, Jack grounds himself in diverse interests. Jack is an artist, outdoor enthusiast, off-road fanatic, music aficionado, amateur photographer and Austin Pets Alive! adopter.
